It's reported that 50 cent has lost an astonishing 30 pounds in a month for a movie role in "Things Fall Apart". Directed by 'Baadasssss'' Mario Van Peebles, the movie depicts a star running back who deals with a personal tragedy and faces his own mortality during his senior college season.

In addition to playing the lead, 50 cent will co-write and co-produce the film via his production company, Cheetah Vision, which plans to put out three to five films per year. No word on how many of those will star 50 Cent.

50's goal is to lose 65 pounds before filming the project.

50 Cent recently did an interview with The Independent, UK about his "Passion For Music", despite all the criticize about being a business man.

"I think you should look forward to me going behind the scenes more. I still have passion for music. And the music business itself has changed. If you can't figure out how to develop the brand extension and opportunities that allow you to build up the marketing dollar, I don't see how you can continue to be a superstar."
